I know that finding affordable flights feels like an impossible task. Trust me. I've spent many hours hunched over my computer, feeling frustrated and defeated.
What if I told you that saving money on flights is actually way easier than you thought?
In fact, I have three great ways to help you save money on flights easily and quickly!
(Plus, I've even included video walk-throughs, making these money-saving methods even easier!)
Let's get started!
1. Cheap Fly Club
I'm listing Cheap Fly Club first because I adore it!
Cheap Fly Club is a service that sends you email notifications about affordable flights from your selected airport(s).
This is just as easy and convenient as it sounds!
How to Use Cheap Fly Club
Like I said, Cheap Fly Club is a service that pretty much does all of the work for you.
You just have to sit back, relax, and wait for affordable flights to be delivered to your inbox.
The fact that this service doesn't require you to do any work (aside from actually booking the flights) definitely sets it apart from the other two methods that I talk about below.
In the video review below, I'm going to show you a couple of emails that I have actually received from Cheap Fly Club.
Additionally, I will be highlighting all of the features that make it so amazing (aside from the scary good deals).
Still have some questions about this service?
While this is by far my favorite method for finding affordable flights, it does cost money to subscribe to the premium service, but it's incredibly affordable.
Honestly, Cheap Fly Club could probably charge more for this service (shh, don't tell them).
Normally, a yearly subscription costs $24. Yeah, it's incredibly inexpensive!
However, since you're reading this, you actually have the opportunity to get a yearly subscription for $20.
Just use this link to subscribe. (You can use any of the above links to get the discount, as well.)
Scyscanner is a popular flight-finding tool.
So, if you've done any research on finding cheap flights, I bet that you've come across numerous blogs raving about it.
Skyscanner is essentially a search engine for flights. It compares prices from multiple airlines that matches the criteria you input.
Using it, you can find great deals but only if you use it the right way.
How to Use Skyscanner (Correctly)
Like I said, Skyscanner is essentially a search engine, which means that it will only give you the results it finds that match your criteria.
So, while there are some amazing deals available, you have to type in the right criteria in order to find them.
In order to find the deals, you need to be completely open as to your travel dates and your destination.
This sounds crazy, but if you start there, you can find the best deals available.
Watch the video below for a short tutorial.
There is no question, you can find great deals on Skyscanner.
Using Skyscanner is down-right time consuming.
While it's certainly a powerful tool, I much prefer to use Cheap Fly Club.
Cheap Fly Club takes all of the stress out of looking for cheap flights, and it doesn't require me to be any more about my travel plans than Skyscanner.
One of Skyscanner's best features is that it's FREE to use!
I love free tools. And this one definitely gives you a lot considering that it's free to use.
While it might be more time consuming, if you don't have the $20 a year to invest into Cheap Fly Club, Skyscanner is a great alternative.
3. Google Flight Explorer
Google Flight Explorer is a tool that is new to me, and I've gotta say that I enjoy using it.
It's similar to Skyscanner but more visual.
You get to look at the globe and move it around and find prices to different destinations. It's pretty neat.
How to Use Google Flight Explorer
Just like with Skyscanner, it is possible to use Google Flights incorrectly.
When you do this, you risk not finding good deals. In fact, you'll likely find some abysmal prices.
So, don't think that just because you used the tool that the price you found is good.
I'll walk you through how to find good deals.
If you'd rather watch a video walk-through than read through the steps, it's directly below.
STEP 1: OPEN GOOGLE FLIGHTS EXPLORER
To get started, head over to Google Flights.
There, you'll see this:
Now, you'll need to click on the button that says "Explore Destinations."
Once the page loads, you see something that looks like this:
STEP 2: SET YOUR AIRPORT
It's always easiest to leave the airport that is closest to you.
However, that one may not always be the cheapest.
You might find that you can save a few hundred dollars just by leaving from an airport that it a couple hours away from you.
So, if you don't know what airports are near you, go ahead and look it up. You'll want to try each of the ones you'd be willing to drive to.
Go ahead and enter the airport you'd like to leave from and return to in the box that says "Where From?"
STEP 3: EXPLORE
Now, it's time for you to explore all of the destinations you might be interested in visiting.
Google Flights usually differentiates the great deals from normal prices by highlighting the deals green.
When you see a price you'd like to get more info on, simply click on it. A box with appear and give you the option to "View Flights."
I like Google Flights Explorer because it's much easier to see all of the prices at once.
With Skyscanner, you have to click on different countries and then look at prices for the cities.
Google just gives you a world view and allows you to see many of the prices for different countries at once.
While still time consuming, I definitely think that Google Flights Explorer is easier to use than Skyscanner.
Plus, I think that the deals are often just as good as what Skyscanner has to offer.
However, my top tool for finding cheap flights is still Cheap Fly Club.
Just like Skyscanner, Google Flights is FREE to use!
This tool has some great features. I love how you can see the flights on a map of the world.
So, considering that it's free, it's definitely a great tool!
You just need to have some time that you're willing to invest in hunting down those great deals.
Make Travel Happen!
Well, there you have it: the 3 best ways to find cheap flights!
With these 3 tools in your arsenal, you'll be able to make travel more affordable (YAY)!
I know that Cheap Fly Club does require a small investment upfront, but as a subscriber, I highly recommend it.
However, if you decide not to signup for Cheap Fly Club (I totally understand), and I hope that you have success with Skyscanner or Google Flights.
I know from experience that both of these sources can offer some amazing deals on flights, even if it takes a bit of time to find them.
